Swegon conforming to Ecodesign Lot 6

SWEDEN – The Swedish company Swegon today announced that all their air handling units are now compliant with Ecodesign Lot 6. The company also launched updated guides to its Gold and Compact ranges of products to reflect the changes brought about by the Ecodesign Directive Lot 6 which came into effect on the 1st of January this year.

The directive concerns ventilation units and is expected to deliver annual European energy savings of 1,300 PJ (PetaJoule) by 2025 – this figure roughly corresponds to today’s entire production of electricity in the UK.
The Ecodesign Directive Lot 6 has been designed to achieve its stated target by setting up minimum performance requirements for ventilation products, which are to be implemented in steps from 2016 to 2018.

Swegon affirmed their commitment to increasing energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption, stating “Reducing the energy consumption is what we strive for with all our products and all our projects.”
