GERMANY – The German-based ebm-papst Group have today released a statement disclosing that their CEO has left the company by mutual consent. The press statement revealed that Rainer Hundsdörfer (58) had left ebm-papst, the technology leader in fans and drives, with effect from the 30th of April 2016, due to different views on future corporate management and governance.

Over his reign as CEO, Rainer Hundsdörfer succeeded in maintaining and boosting the position of ebm-papst as global driver of innovation, with turnover reaching a new height at € 1.7 billion. The group also acknowledged that, under his guidance, the group had adopted GreenTech as their trademark to represent and tie in with the balance between ecology and economy along the entire and complete value-creation chain. Indeed this decision saw the company win multiple awards for their sustainable management.

The advisory board of ebm-papst availed of the press release to thank Rainer Hundsdörfer for his work and commitment to the group and stated that until such time as the position of CEO is filled, the Managing Directors will assume full responsibility for their divisions and will report directly to the partners and the advisory board.
