Vibro-Acoustics to join Swegon group

CANADA – Swegon AB has moved to acquire Vibro-Acoustics, one of the leading providers of Noise and Vibration control solutions in North America. Vibro-Acoustics was founded in 1960 and currently employ 167 staff, while, in 2013, the company declared a turnover of $28MCAD (equating to approximately £14.5M). Vibro-Acoustics’ headquarters are located in Toronto, Canada, while the company has two additional manufacturing facilities in the Unites States – in Reno, Nevada and Nashville, Tennessee.

“The North American HVAC market is extensive and so far we have only had a limited presence there. As we now expand our business, we are very pleased to do it together with Vibro-Acoustics. They are a well-managed company with a long and successful history. Also, their strong focus on delivering high quality system solutions to our joint customer base fits well with Swegon’s market approach”, declared Hannu Saastamoinen, CEO of Swegon.

In its headquarters, Vibro-Acoustics provides design assistance to the HVAC consulting community to try to help them avoid noise problems in ventilation systems, while Vibro-Acoustics manufactures Noise Control, Vibration Isolation, Air Handling, and Restraint products at its three production sites.
