Top prize for Carrier Transicold Glasgow

UK – Carrier Transicold UK have named Carrier Transicold Glasgow their Service Partner of the Year 2015 following the company’s UK’s annual Performance Assessment and Competitive Excellence (PACE) awards. The awards mark the first time that the Cambuslang-based Carrier Transicold Glasgow, which provides aftersales support to temperature-controlled fleet operators for the west of Scotland, has taken top spot in the PACE programme. The Glasgow branch reached top spot due to its consistently high standards of service delivery.

The PACE awards scheme, which was launched in 2008, measures the performance delivered by Carrier Transicold’s network service partners against 26 rigorous key performance indicators (KPIs) across 40 individual service standards. These 26 KPIs are monitored in real-time via unique web management software and include planned maintenance completion rates, breakdown response times, first time fixes and the availability spare parts among many other criteria.

“Delivering first class aftersales support is absolutely critical to our business, and we believe these measurements directly translate into better customer satisfaction across the board,” declared Scott Dargan, managing director of Carrier Transicold, Northern Europe & Service EMEAR. “Every year, we adjust the PACE performance criteria to raise the bar even higher to ensure the programme continues to develop in line with segment requirements. It gives our customers the confidence that our network service partners will deliver the highest standards of quality and service at all times.”

The Glasgow branch was challenged hard by Liverpool-based Carrier Transicold North West and Stockton-On-Tees-based Carrier Transicold Northern, who occupied second and third place, respectively, in the programme, earning themselves Premier Service Partner status. The award for Most Improved Service Partner 2015 was given to Ipswich-based Carrier Transicold Eastern as they continued to build upon their strong 2014 performance.

Carrier Transicold’s UK network covers 22 locations across the UK and Ireland, with each service partner an independent company which provides service for Carrier Transicold equipment. In total, these service partners employ more than 155 mobile service engineers who are in turn responsible for the installation, service and repair of temperature controlled equipment which can be fitted to vans, trucks and trailers. The roles of the mobile service engineers include such tasks as annual temperature control testing and certification as well as F-gas regulation compliance.
