JOHNSONS reorganises its North American branch

US- JOHNSON CONTROLS is reorganising its activities within its building efficiency division by separating its line of business in North America products from global markets.

Heating-Ventilation-Air Conditioning Products (HVAC) will focus on global growth and benefits of the company. The investments will be concentrated in key products such as the recent acquisition of Air Distribution Technologies (ADTI) and the future joint venture with Hitachi VRF.

The branch of the company in North America will continue to operate in its current form, directly providing HVAC systems, services and solutions to customers in more than 120 cities across the US and Canada.

In this reorganisation, Mr. Dave Myers, President of the building efficiency division, resigned and left the company to pursue other interests. Mr. Myers was appointed to his current position of Vice President and President following the acquisition of YORK INTERNATIONAL in 2005. He was at YORK since 1994 and was the CEO at the time of acquisition.

The position of Mr. Dave Myers is currently taken up by Mr. Bill Jackson, who recently served as executive vice president in the company. Trent Nevill, vice president and general manager of the North American branch of business, will continue in his current role.
