Fire in the SAMSUNG factories in Algeria

Significant damage has been caused by a fire that broke out in a ventilation duct in a Samsung factory.

A number of fires were triggered simultaneously, causing extensive damage. There are very significant losses with the ventilation systems in the factory as well as the production lines of washing machine being destroyed.

A good part of the site went up in smoke, but fortunately nobody died in the fire.

The Samsung factory was built in 2010 at a cost of more than €60 million. It is hoped that the electronics giant will soon recover from this extraordinary which, besides the financial impact affects the company´s ability to distribute its products in Africa and Europe.
