UK – Carrier Transicold have announced that all of their UK and Irish network service providers have become affiliate members of the Engineering Employers’ Federation (EEF), to help ensure further independent validation of their Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) development programmes.

The federation carries out independent annual reviews of all network service providers’ EH&S competence, based on an exacting set of criteria regarding EH&S practices that are benchmarked against aspects of legal compliance – and which also meet Carrier Transicold’s own standards. The latest announcement comes as the company continues to push its “Carrier Safe” EH&S initiative, which was launched in conjunction with the EEF in 2011.

“We hold our network service partners to high standards of customer service, technical expertise and health and safety compliance,” declared Scott Dargan, the managing director for Carrier Transicold, Northern Europe and Service EMEAR. “Through EEF affiliation, we can independently verify that our network service providers are meeting our stringent safety and environmental targets.”

The EEF, which at the present time represents almost 20,000 organisations across the UK, supports the manufacturing and engineering industries and also boasts a formal partnership with the UK government’s Health & Safety Executive.
